European Men's Junior Championships U19 Tbilisi (GEO): Hungary-Serbia final yet again

Hungary and Serbia will again meet for a men's major gold medal, this time however in the junior category. Both teams won their respective semi-final clashes at the U19 European Junior Championships in Tbilisi, Georgia on Friday to now play for the championship on Sunday. Serbia came out firing against Croatia establishing a 3-0 lead quarter time, not losing a quarter as the Vladimir Vujasinovic coached side recorded a 10-5 victory. Hungary had a tougher job to complete, especially after Italytook a 1-2 lead in the opening period but a storming comeback in the final session secured a stunner as Hungary won 9-8 setting up a final agains the well-known opponents from Serbia. Several classification matches will be played on Saturday before the powerhouses take center stage on Sunday to determine the medallists for these championships in the Georgian capital. On senior level the teams from both countries previously met in the gold medal finals of the FINA World League Super Final in Dubai, the European Championships in Budapest and most recently the FINA World Cup in Almaty, Kazakhstan. All match-ups were won by Serbia.
